"Quel'Thalas" In Vanilla WoW

12As you probably know about the area right above the eastern plaguelands, there is a small dock and some ruins and a tower in it. Turns out that this area was there since Vanilla wow, the only difference is that in vanilla it says eastern plaguelands while in later expansions when you walk there it says "Quel'Thalas".
My thought is that Blizzard intended to make Quel'Thalas area in the game before TBC and this area was planned to have a sea path to it, but Blizzard maybe lost interest in it and abandoned the idea.
