1,050The Quest 3S Xbox Edition is out now and already SOLD OUT in a lot of places but who is this new VR headset for? This brand new Meta headset, in collaboration with Microsoft, is a stunning black & green Quest 3S model that comes with limited edition Touch Controllers, an Xbox Controller, an Elite Headstrap and 3 months of Gamepass, it's the ultimate onboarding bundle for someone who's been thinking about getting into VR but has yet to take the plunge. If you already own a Quest 3 or Quest 3S then it's purely about the aesthetics, would you prefer a black Quest 3S? If so then this might be for you. If you're not fussed then there's absolutely nothing new for you here. This isn't an Xbox VR headset after all, this is an Xbox BRANDED Meta VR headset that Microsoft wants you to play Gamepass games on. I love the colourway, I think it's an incredible option for new VR users and die hard Xbox fans curious about Virtual Reality but we shouldn't lose sight of the fact that this headset does nothing "new" for exisiting VR users or those who have owned a Quest 3/3S in the past.
What do you think about the new Quest 3S Xbox headset / Xbox Meta Quest headset? For £379.99 / $399.99 I cannot argue with the price point, it's an amazing deal for new VR users and it's the best looking Quest on the market right now. It's just worth remembering that this won't magically play your Xbox games in VR outside of experiencing them via Cloud Gaming on a giant flat screen in headset, perhaps one day we'll get Halo VR, Gears of War VR and Forza VR (and this might be a step in the right direction towards that) but we're not quite there yet...
