Quest for Glory II: Trial by Fire (VGA) - Finale and Ending (Wizard Route)
14The wizard route finale and ending to the 2008 VGA remake of Quest for Glory II: Trial by Fire that originally released in 1990. Quest for Glory was a point-and-click adventure game with RPG elements spanning five games and had you pick one of three classes - Fighter, Wizard, or Thief - with the Paladin class unlocked in this game and available in subsequent games. Each class had a different way to solve puzzles, or situations were slightly different.
In the second game you save the land of Shapeir from four elementals plaguing the city before journeying to its sister city Raseir to stop the tyrannical rule of Ad Avis and Khaveen, particularly after you're used as a pawn by Ad Avis to find the statue of Iblis. You then stop Ad Avis from summoning Iblis, which would cause the end of the world.
I think Quest for Glory 2 probably did the best job with its finale and ending (except perhaps the fourth game). After streaming it recently I felt like uploading this segment of the game as a standalone video (I may do so with the fourth game too). This also shows my character becoming a paladin although when importing a character in the third game you can switch back to wizard. It simply seems more thematically appropriate to accept the title of Paladin in the ending. Plus, flaming sword.
