Facing the Wages of War in Our Quest for Glory (Quest for Glory 3)
Quest for Glory is an old point-and-click series with some RPG elements that followed the hero you created as they saved the day across multiple lands. The series consisted of five games, three different classes that had alternate puzzle solutions - Fighter, Wizard, and Thief (plus Paladin from the third game onward) - and a hurricane of puns during your adventures. You could also import your character into the next game. Oh, and lots of silly ways to die, such as picking your nose with a lockpick.
This is the third game, released in 1992, where we go with Rakeesh and Uhura back to their homeland of Tarna to prevent war between the Liontaurs, Simbani, and Leopardmen. Along the way we stop a demon invasion.
Originally Quest for Glory 4: Shadows of Darkness was meant to be the third game but it was changed to have an additional adventure for the hero (under the view that Mordavia would be too dangerous for the hero at that point). Wages of War being unplanned kind of shows at points, as it's a shorter and somewhat easier game. It is the first Quest for Glory game to switch to exclusively point-and-click (the VGA remake of Quest for Glory 1 coming out the same year that also went full point-and-click).
This is also the only game that doesn't have a reward ceremony at the end.
The game was finished quicker than expected, so we played a few games of Among Us afterwards that begins at 2:55:00
