QuestZDoom is here! In this guide to QuestZDoom I explain what a WAD is and the types of WAD that exist (IWAD, PWAD). We take a look at where to find WADs, not only for the main game, but additional WADs that modify the game to provide additional map, sprites, textures and total conversions. We then take a look at how to install QuestZdoom and the different settings. Then I show how you can install your own WADs using QuestZDoom to run Doom, Doom 2, Heretic, Hexen and Strife with modifications. We will look at how to use your own mods, how to play mods that aren’t featured in the autodownloader. Finally, we will look at the in-game VR settings. Timestamps and links below.
