As we find ourselves in that post-Christmas lull where game releases are few and far between Jon takes a look at a shmup that has made the leap from mobile to Wii U and is now heading to PC. Ready your guns for - FullBlast.
Created by UFO Crash Games and originally on iOS, Android and (later) Wii U, FullBlast is classic shoot-em-up, very much in the style of the old arcade shmups of the 80's and early 90's. Like it's predecessors it tells the familiar story of a lone pilot (or two pilots if you are playing in local co-op mode) fighting off waves of alien mechs, spaceships and huge bug like creatures.
Not incredibly original but as a port of a mobile game it appears to be fairly competent and if it is priced to match its mobile versions and you're a fan of genre it may be worth picking up but don't expect anything particularly special.
