Quick Channel Update + Playing Paperville Panic! In The HTC Vive
21OK so I am finally getting back to normal after being sick for the past few weeks and I apologize for the short disappearing act! During my down time I did have a few great things happen. First I was blown away to be invited to attend Oculus Connect 5 and then I got the confirmation from HTC that I would be receiving a new HTC Vive to use on the channel. I want to sincerely thank both Oculus and HTC for their support of my VR evangelism!
So today I will be breaking in the new Vive by playing Paperville Panic! and I have to say that I really enjoyed this game. I went into it not expecting much and was pleasantly surprised to find a well crafted game with some good humor in it. The graphics style is simplistic but looks great in the Vive and the environments and narrative of the game were also good. My only complaint as it usually is would be the lack of free movement. I very much would love to see the developers at least add the option for free locomotion as teleport is so immersion breaking for those of us who don't need or want it!
Overall I had a blast playing Paperville Panic and would definitely recommend it! The game will be officially launching out of early access on 9/20/18 and you can grab a copy from the link below.
