Quick Draw McGraw - Commodore 64 - longplay [real hardware]
In the Wild West, it's a hard life being a train driver. Trying to get your passengers and cargo safely to their destination without Bandits and Indians attacking the train and stealing everything they can. Who better to guard the train than Quick Draw McGraw, the fastest Hoof in the West!
Many many many many many thanks to minotaurus, the C64 superhero, he only plays forgotten games..or my weird requests :D
As usual, he wrote some notes about this game, let's see:
CONTROLS (from the manual):
McGraw runs through two levels of the moving train cars.
To go from the higher level to the lower, you have to jump first and then pull the joystick down before landing.
To move from the bottom to the top of the train, you have to press fire and push the joystick forward at the same time.
This budget game was released in late 1990, developed by the Twilight studio and published by Hi-Tech Software (which had a partnership with Hanna & Barbera to bring several of their cartoon characters to the C64).
The goal of the game is to get to the end of each of the 4 trains, defeating enemies and the end of level boss.
From the 2nd level it's possible to enter inside some carriages, in order to recover all the energy; to exit we have to get rid of some bad guys, a minigams with a first-person view; we also must avoid to shoot civilian.
If we fall down the train, we have to start the level again from the beginning, but without losing life (actually our life before game over is represented by the energy bar).
I finished this several times, this longplay was made from my original cassette.
Played and recorded by minotaurus, as part of the videogame endings database, whose goal is to catalogue and create the world's largest archive of videogame endings! (what an humble and not ambitious project :D)
