Here I show you how to lap a CPU (Ryzen 3700X) with a few sheets of sandpaper on your kitchen table. Costs pence and will shave a couple of degrees off your CPU temps if you do your cooler too. More importantly if you are not getting max turbo clocks out of your current system it might allow it to push the clock higher, turbo for longer, throttle less or help you overclock a bit more for a better benchmark score. Unless you have zero manual dexterity and are likely to bend the pins on your CPU you have nothing to lose, except the warranty of course.
