Quick Look | Assassin's Creed 4 Rogue (2014)
1If you ask yourself what is this , well those are the moments that amazed me in this milked down to death series ... from penguins , to bears , to dogs ... to some Red and Blue symbolism (hidden messages) ... to the most hilarious bugs you could get ... and my realization why this game had so many awful frame dips - theirs crappy physics engine lagged the game and when you glitched, it dipped the frame rate by 15 to 25 fps and even lower to counter act the crap you see - theirs solution to unwrap clipped/frozen models .
So what can you tell me about this game :
Well Assassin's Creed 4 Rogue was a swan song of the last generation of consoles ... a game that wanted to reinvent the AC brand using the best of its last gen design ... the reinvented AC 3 with an Anti-hero .
This game gave this series class ... a true continuation of its story missions arks, gameplay and maps that overshadowed AC Unity ... making AC Unity a 4 co-op spin-off with a nonsense story line that brought nothing ... only graphics and crowds of people that pop in and out ... *Ubisoft blames the new engine* and low work force morale ... haha
An engine that was battle tested so much we seen the horrible downgrade in WATCH_DOGS and later the laggy awfulness and crazy bugs in Unity
When a AC spin off became its true continuation , creating an impact so big , they ported this exclusive swan song title to PC...
Its a story how you should not develop TWO games at the same time : one for the Xbox360/PS3 as the last AC that would close the story arks , and a new Unity AC Trilogy based on a new engine about Animus VR consoles that wanted to begin new arks for the next generations
I am placing AC 4 Rouge on my Excellence list for creating something amazing and unique ... and not forgetting AC3 was freaking AMAZING in its game design... contrary what the reviewers said
