Quick Look at Dead Island 2 (RX 6750 XT @ 1440p Ultra)
5Quick look at this game. I'm not a huge fan and honestly don't even remember if I've played the first game. But I got this game for free so figured I'd check it out. Initial impressions are mixed. The first part of the game wasn't the most visually appealing and the combat felt a little stiff. But it's getting better! The game runs on Unreal Engine 4 and unlike many PC ports doesn't really seem to suffer from shader compilation stutter! I'm running it at native 1440p with everything set to Ultra except shadows and effects (on medium) and it's running at like 110 frames on average. Video recording looks a little jerky but in person on my VRR Freesync monitor it was actually very smooth. I said this wasn't a AAA game but it might be I'm not sure. Reflections look really bad for a modern gen game but somethings look good. Again not sure if I'd call it AAA or not.
