A guide how you can get ALVR up and running quickly under openSUSE Tumbleweed with a Pico Neo 3 Link and technically Oculus Quest 1.
The official installation guide on the project's github:
https://github.com/alvr-org/ALVR/wiki...
The launch options set for SteamVR:
QT_QPA_PLATFORM=xcb ~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/SteamVR/bin/vrmonitor.sh %command%
This tutorial is done on a machine with a AMD Ryzen 5600G and a Radeon RX5700 Pulse running openSUSE Tumbleweed and Linux kernel 6.10.5-1.
Steam comes via regular repos, ALVR is nightly version 21.0.0-dev01+nightly.2024.08.18.
Both Xorg and Wayland work albeit Wayland fails to display games on the monitor while ingame and also can't it capture the desktop when using Steam Home.
