Edit: Ack my links are dead for quickstrike and I don't have a copy, at least video preserves.

I wanted to add a class system to my rpg and remake some things; like I said in the video, I was inspired by Osamu Tezuka's star system in which he had characters like Astro Boy or Black Jack play different roles in other media like his movie: Undersea Super Train: Marine Express.

The roles are slightly different for most characters though they are different. I also felt I had to make this since games with class systems like Final Fantasy 5 or Tactics have a lot of useless moves or classes or Dragon Quest 3 lacks character interaction and even then the class changing was a pain since you'd lose the thief and dealer's passive abilities and they sucked as 2nd jobs because of the attack power reduction (you lose half your stats and take on the growth of the new job, making a mage to anything else but a sage pointless). Dragon Quest 6 had very heavy reductions though the story was dull in my opinion. I am also going to emphasize replay value with a hidden boss, these job forks, and a somewhat hidden character as I said.

An overview of the class system:
Cheerleader-Support Magic and can heal.

Duelist-Skills can have status anomalies.

Blacksmith-Strongest class in the game physically.

Martial Arts (not enough space for artist)-Self buffs + speed

Invoker-Status anomalies with magic.
Channeler-supports whole party (Cheerleader only 1 character) with magic.

This should definitely scream replay value with the classes (all of which will be useful) and that hidden boss I mentioned in addition to that character.
