Apple launched Quicktime x(10 not exx) with snow leopard on August 29th eliminating the pro version and skipping versions 8 and 9. With this update includes a lot of new features such as screen recording, trimming, a new UI, and sharing features. Apple has really tried to make quicktime the Swiss Army Knife of media applications allowing you to watch, create, and share media from with-in the app.
