Comparing the new stage, stage x4.0, to their old stage in DLC Set 2 for R-Type Final 2. The homage stage is from R-Type.The OG R-Type is great to see but feels a bit to short. I know they are trying to do 1:1 as much as possible but the first stage would have been a better pick IMO. I do like that they added different environments to this stage. The arcade original had a simple black background with mechanical walls. My favorite one is the organic (green) version. Stage 2 from R-Type 87 had an organic theme. This runs with that idea.
