I Kickstarted this game. I am a huge R-Type fan. I have beat the original arcade many times, and can even note many subtle differences between it and the R-Type Dimensions* remake back in the X360 (and likewise) days. But... initial thoughts... I am not a huge fan of R-Type Final 2. The game design feels bloated like Raiden V. It does not play at 60fps. It plays at 30 fps and drops way below at times. This is from using modern engines (Unreal, Unity, etc.) and not respecting the processing requirements of advanced visual effects (lighting, etc.). The 3D nature loses a bit of the player's collision detection abilities. I'll continue to play to see if I warm up to it.
