Echidna aka that ship that you'll use only to obtain Cerberus.
Echidna has a Wave Cannon that sucks, that's it. The problem is that Lightning Wave Cannon Test doesn't track enemies so it goes where the heck he want giving you a lot of problems. Also, his Lasers don't do a lot of damage except Yellow Laser that can do the job in the same amount of time of Cerberus' Yellow Laser and for some sections it's even better.
Also, this F-C is a good example of how to NOT do F-C, but why Echidna to show this? I have 2 reasons:
1) I didn't voluntarily messed up. Also, seeing that even doing so much mistakes with a (sorry Echidna Enjoyers) shitty ship you can complete the stage you don't have to worry when you use better ships and last, if you do mistakes you can also see how to handle the part.
2) Are you sure you wanna use Echidna?
Before starting the run analysis I have to warn you: This attempt was done long time ago. I know where I did mistakes but even rewatching the run a lot of times I still might be wrong about how to do it properly some sections. Let's begin!
Because Lightning Wave Test doesn't track enemies I decided to shoot it really close to Bat but it's not possible to do this strategy forever cause they shoot so I started to shoot from afar trying my luck and failed 1 Lightning and losing a lot of time between Full BEAM charge and the moment I shoot Lighning Test. Btw, I don't know if I've ever show you that it's possible to survive a Bat's Direct Hit, it's pretty hard to perform but if stay exactly in front of him (you can help yourself by shooting a vulcan and see if it goes between the 2 cannons) you can survive while dealing damage instead of waiting or even worse skipping it.
Just right after I messed up so much Upper McCarron. I wanted to charge a lot Dose Meter but ended up almost losing Yellow Laser, losing a Bit and when Strabalt Bombers went out of screen there were still 3 turrets, consequentely I wasn't prepared for Laser Turret and Bottom McCarron. Yellow Laser helped a lot tho. To prevent all this mistakes basically you have to destroy quickly turrets instead of charging Dose and charging it with Bottom McCarron, When you're satisfied just destroy all turrets which I didn't in this run destroying quickly Bottom McCarron preventing me to fully charge Dose (or almost like 90-95%).
Right before Upper and Bottom McCarron I picked Blue Laser cause I killed POW at the same height of the best safe spot possible when you have Yellow Laser preventing me to use it but I'm stubborn and decided to stay there instead of going above Upper Laser Turret, kill him and then Bottom Laser Turret cause with Echidna I needed the whole screen to do the section properly. In any case I managed to pass that part going at the limit of Hitbox and Full Dose barely obtained to unlock a safe spot. The problem of all this is that I lost Yellow Laser which in the section right after is the best choice since with that you can do that part easily, then you kill bats going between 2 of them and shooting with Yellow (don't do anything too risky and play safe during this section) and you can easily kill Nasreils. But no, I lost Yellow and skipped the last enemies before bats losing the possibility to reobtain it. Btw, I'm not so sure but I think Blue Laser does a little more damage than Red one without Round Bits.
Skipped Nasreils cause, as I said earlier, I didn't have Yellow. Also, I had a lot of problems with Tarans even I did it like usual.
Cancers with Red laser and bits are easier than using Yellow Laser but the cost is to most probably skip Nasreils which isn't simple and need some training to perform it.
As always, Full Dose to unlock Mid-Left safe spot at Wall of Enemies.
