Wave Core is a boss that hasn't a huge amount of health and because of this even at R-Typer his battle last for 3 maximum 4 turns but Wave Core has 16 turns which is incredible. imo he has so much turns for Score Meaning since with Sexy Dynamite I can obtain more or less 80K points (all bullets and Wave Core kill) and it's a lot in a boss fight.
Also, did you notice that in turn 14, if I'm not mistaken the turn, the music stopped for a second? IREM just didn't expect that players last so much during a fight with this music or has a precise meaning. I'm always thinking about score meaning but I'm too lazy to dig too much about this.
One important thing: Wave Core has a pattern system which means that everytime you face him bullets don't always go in the same direction giving a random sense. Every Pattern has all 16 turns fixed so in case you obtain the same pattern twice in a row (or just savestate) you'll see bullets going in a precise direction...for all 16 turns. I don't know how much patterns exist.
