R-Type II 1989 Stage 4
15This is played on R-Types for the Playstation. I was playing on Easy (a.k.a. not quite as hard). Can you imagine this stage on anything higher!? I must've played around 10 times before I killed the boss on a no miss run. This was the first time I killed the boss, during this recording.
Areas of note:
-this is where the terrain starts getting tricky. The Bydo must enjoy Tetris.
-thankfully the R9's hitbox is smaller than it looks. Those bullets at 0:32 grazed the back of the ship.
-again, at 1:25, the R9's small hitbox graced me, as I almost killed myself backing up.
-the boss would qualify as "Easiest R-Type Boss" if it wasn't for the terrain. This is R-Type's version of a high speed stage.
-look at how many Speed icons I accidentally pick up near the end! It's a miracle that I didn't crash into something!
-as always, after I won, I was shaking so bad that I had to turn off the game until the adrenaline rush passed. =D
