On a trip into Castlegar to pick up a new computer headset, I happened upon the daily CP train arriving and working the yard. After saying hi to the conductor while they were switching, I decided to head to the other side of the Columbia River to watch them leave town eastbound. What I didn't expect was for them to be at full throttle!

God, I've missed trains. Sorry for any quality issues, this was just filmed on my smartphone.

CP 2329 is a GP20C-ECO, and CP 5000 is an SD30C-ECO - the first one built for CP, to my knowledge.

ALWAYS PLAY SAFE WHILE RAILFANNING. Think - you don't stand on the runway to watch planes! Stay a safe distance from the tracks and never trespass on railway property.
