Bobby Davis along with coworkers Casey & Cody speaking hate speech.
They express racist anti-Black & anti-Latinx statements.
Stating that they would deem it allowable for Latinx people to remain if they were provided drugs, while simultaneously referencing recent deaths related to fentanyl-laced drugs.
Racist mockery of their Black coworker, in what appears to be invoking the stereotype that Black people have big lips.
Displaying image of Black coworkers' face in toilet in what appears to be him conveying that his Black coworker is equivalent to feces.
Bobby makes homophobic comment.
Bobby makes "OK" hand gesture that has been co-opted by white supremacists in recent years to symbolize "White Power".
They have displayed a profound unprofessionalism, misconduct, hate & disrespect towards their coworkers & the community.
After made aware by business owner, they have been held responsible for their behavior.
Excerpts of business owners statement in response to situation:
This video in no way reflects the opinions and values of this company.
Those employees involved were immediately terminated on Monday when I learned of the existence of this video. I was not present when the video was being created and I took immediate action upon discovery. We are taking internal measures to ensure that this type of conduct does not occur in the future.
First, I want to apologize to any and all persons who were offended by this video. I want to let all of you know that neither (...) nor I will tolerate this kind of behavior, attitudes and opinions by any of our employees or management staff.
Second, (...) takes this matter very seriously and we will continue to provide the highest level of service and car care for our customers, for which we are know throughout the Joliet and Will County area.
