Learn how to improve your chances of survival in Raft with this tutorial/guide.
In this Ocean based Survival game we start off with a small raft being circled by a shark who wants nothing more than to eat us, we must gather floating debris (flotsam and Jetsam) so that we can craft the materials and technologies that we need so survive in this enviroment. we must hunt and cook food, purify water and expand our raft to survive!

Developers Description:-
Survive the harsh life of being stuck on a raft in the middle of the ocean! Gather debris from the water in order to craft equipment necessary for your survival. Expand your raft in order to create a more comfortable living for yourself, but be wary of the dangers of the ocean!
Raft is currently in very early production. This is a prototype which purpose is to show the player what the game could be.

Hi Guys today I have 5 beginners tips for getting started in the Prototype Survival Game Raft. If you haven't played this game I highly recommend it and will include a link on how to get it in the description. If you want to see more about the game check out my lets play series on it that I will annotate out to now for now however lets get into it.
Keep collecting Thatch.
In the beginning of the game at least thatch seems to be the bottleneck resource. It is used to craft rope that is used in almost every crafting recipe so you will want to be collecting as much of it as possible and prioritising it over planks and scrap.
You will get thirsty before you get hungry.
your thirst will diminish faster than your hunger bar so it is definitely worth crafting a water purifier before you build a cooking station.
You can get food from the shark.
It is possible to kill the shark if you stab it enough times with the spear. Once it is dead you can continue to stab it and it will drop several pieces of shark meat. These can be cooked up and will replenish a decent amount of hunger and a small amount of hydration too.
place a net on every other foundation.
Nets can be used to automatically catch resources but they are an expensive initial investment. Rather than placing them next to each other try leaving a gap of one foundation in between them. The nets catch things that even partially touch them so even stuff that floats in between will be caught almost all of the time. This way 2 nets will be pretty much as good as 3, 3 as good as 5 etc...
Think before you eat
When starting the game you will eventually rope in a barrel that contains a potato, it may be tempted to cook this up and enjoy a delicious baked potato however, if you build a planter you can plant a potato and harvest 2 in return a couple of minutes later which can make for a great renew-able food source.
