Learn how to improve your chances of survival in Raft with this tutorial/guide.
In this Ocean based Survival game we start off with a small raft being circled by a shark who wants nothing more than to eat us, we must gather floating debris (flotsam and Jetsam) so that we can craft the materials and technologies that we need so survive in this enviroment. we must hunt and cook food, purify water and expand our raft to survive!

Survive the harsh life of being stuck on a raft in the middle of the ocean! Gather debris from the water in order to craft equipment necessary for your survival. Expand your raft in order to create a more comfortable living for yourself, but be wary of the dangers of the ocean!
Raft is currently in very early production. This is a prototype which purpose is to show the player what the game could be.

Hi Guys today we are going to talk about how to get started in the Prototype Survival Game Raft. If you haven't played this game I highly recommend it and will include a link on how to get it in the description. If you want to see more about the game check out my lets play series on it that I will annotate out to now. Now lets look at starting the game from scratch up to the point where you have what you need to keep surviving.
When you start the game you will be on a 2 by 2 foundation raft with no supplies or equipment other than a hook rope. Look around a bit and you should see the shark cricling, he will leave you alone for the first few minutes and eventually you will see debris starting to drift towards you. All debris comes from the same direction. You can use your rope to hook these items and drag them in and also use E to grab anything that floats close enough by itself. The 3 resources you will be collecting are Planks, Scrap and Thatch. You will also see barrell occasionally which contain a mixture of these resources and possibly some other items.
Spend the first couple of minutes collecting resources and when you have a few craft a water purifier and a can. you will need rope which is crafted out of thatch. Use the can to collect water and then cook it in the purifier. Next I would recommend crafting a spear as the shark will probably be attacking soon. the shark will attack your raft and if not stopped will destroy one of the foundations. Stab him a few times with the spear to send him on his way.
The next thing you will want is food so craft a cook station and a fishing rod. Place the cook station and then catch a few fish. You can cook them and eat them for hunger and a small amount of hydration replenishment.
You can now survive and prevent yourself from dying of hunger, thirst or shark attacks so have fun experimenting with the building and crafting the game has to offer.
