Ragnarok (or Valhalla) is a lost relic from my childhood that brought me so much joy to finally find. I hadn't played this game in 15 years when I recorded this. I forgot the name when I was really young and finally found it... I can't tell you how satisfying it is for me to play it again.

Ragnarok is a game about the dangers of mixing different liquids, and how easy it is to misplace limbs. It's also a game what warns of the dangers of reading, shopping, jelly, and pretty much everything outside of your house. I can't recommend it enough.

This game is like the beginning of my love for video games. The core concepts in it are some of the things I still find most fun about games - especially the roguelike randomness and consequences. I've built entire systems in video games that were basically just re-imaginings of Ragnarok/Valhalla. It's so damn good that I'm having trouble putting in words how much I love it.

A lot of this is nostalgia based, but that's kind of what this is about. It was amazing for it's time, so much so that I think it holds up today just fine. But, for when it first came out in 1992, it was even better than that. I will never stop loving this game.

I think we may have barely touched on the surface of this game as well. There's other crazy stuff you can do, that much I'm sure, and we made pretty much no progression as far as quests or objectives go. I can't wait to come back to this one day and see what else we can do.
