A Retro mod with updates of the classic Men of War missions.

This is the voice over version, a no commentary version can be found here:

Call to Arms - Gates of Hell is a real-time tactics/ strategy (RTT/ RTS) project made by independent game developers Barbedwire Studios, published by Digitalmindsoft. It is a DLC for the game Call to Arms. It was published on Steam june 11th, 2021.

It is set in World War 2 and is a successor to the Men of War series of games; however, it differs from that series by having a different look & feel, aimed at realism and immersion.

According to the developers, Call to Arms - Gates of Hell is developed as a series of modules. The first module is called “Ostfront”.
This module depicts the events that unfolded when the German army invaded the Soviet Union in 1941 during Operation Barbarossa.
Future modules will add additional nations, battlefields and factions.
Compared to earlier products that use the same game engine, CtA - GoH introduces a series of game mechanics that are claimed to be new, including modeling of vehicle internal components and suspension. The major innovations were listed in a development update on Steam.
Other than its predecessors, maps in GoH have been created to represent historical locations. According to the developer, Google data is used for height maps, with the aim to produce scenarios that "re- enact whatever took place in the real location as closely as possible".
The developers "use satellite data and (WWII vintage) recon photos of the original locations"
