Railroad Tycoon 3 was the 2003 incarnation of Railroad Tycoon, and has been discussed in a number of my other videos. It was released in 2003 by Gathering of Developers, who sometimes call themselves GOD Games, which is an obvious pun. The game was, of course, originally inspired by Sid Meier's original Railroad Tycoon from 1990, but like Railroad Tycoon II, it employed a completely different development team from the original, led by Phil Steinmeyer at PopTop software, who had also led the development team for Railroad Tycoon II. The resemblance between the two games is obvious, but there are a number of differences. I have partly gone over these here:

In this video, however, I'm only going to do a very basic, and short, playthrough of the Poland map. I feel somewhat inspired to do an improved Poland map in the mold of my China map for Railroad Tycoon II, but we'll see if I ever get to it. As with the China map playthrough, I should note that I did not do very well in this game.
