Hello everyone, on this quick video I have tested alongside my friend Gasoline (thanks for the help!) if REACT armor can stack with Rook armor in Rainbow Six: Extraction.

We have done this test on duo-Q to maintain the same damage modifiers (you actually take less damage when playing solo) and with both operators at Level 10. Regarding difficulty, it doesn't affect the damage you take, so we did everything on Moderate so it was easier to find a Grunt as our base of testing.

We have done it both with a normal operator (in this case, Nomad) and with Rook himself, the results are rather interesting...

- Nomad:

- Base DMG: 27
- REACT armor: 22
- Rook armor: 16
- REACT + Rook: 16

- Rook:

- Rook armor: 19
- REACT + Rook: 13

In a nutshell, REACT armor DOESN'T stack when you are playing as a character that isn't Rook himself. If you are playing with Rook, the REACT armor WILL stack.

My explanation on this is that when you pick the Rook armor as a normal character, it replaces the REACT armor and overwrites it's stats. With Rook however, he already starts with a Rook plate on himself so the game doesn't check for that trigger to replace / overwrite the values.

We can't test this but it's safe to assume that you would lose this buff if you ever got injured, since you would lose the REACT armor and there's a high chance that it will do nothing when you resupply it from a REACT crate.
