Rajiv Awas Yojana envisages a "Slum-Free India" with inclusive and equitable cities in which every citizen has access to basic civic infrastructure and social amenities and basic shelter. The Scheme aims to make India Slum-free by 2022. Government has earmarked Rs 32,230 crore for implementation of this scheme during 12th Five Year Plan. 3 Million beneficiaries are proposed to be covered under Rajiv Awas Yojana.
