That was tough! Early DW access was scary; I considered going to EP first to attempt finding some more equipment but decided to just jump into the portal. That mirror in EP would have been nice to have earlier....oh well.
In hindsight I probably should have checked the front of TT, but instead I decided to stay out of it completely until I had a sword. Luckily that didn't cost me.
I learned today that you can't take the smithy into paradox cave, despite being able to take him into hype cave, haha. Would have routed a bit differently if I had known, but part of me also just wanted to find out since I had never been in that situation before.
I stayed out of POD for a while but decided to go in once I had bombos since I felt OK doing dark turtle room with hammer + bombos. It worked out first try.
A lot of the boss fights were intense! Arrghus with quick-swapping between hookshot and hammer, beating Kholdstare with hammer (certainly thankful that I picked up two blues before that one), and Vitreous with no silvers and only 14 arrows. I used all 8 of my bombs and 14 arrows in that fight and was one hit away from dying, but clutched it out in the end. Phew!!!
On the plus side, master sword in GT was a relief to see, and big key after armos knights was even better. Kind of funny that the fire rod was in that same room the whole time.
I considered going back to bombos tablet for a sword upgrade that I had seen earlier (but couldn't get with just fighter sword) but decided I had two fairies, so master sword ganon was doable. I struggled a bit on the last phase -- will need to practice the timing for those spins -- but managed to get through it.
