Hey now fans of the Rambo, Matt Heywood here to review his last turn on the big screen, Rambo: Last Blood, or what I like to call exactly what I’d do if someone messed with my daughter.

Rambo: Last Blood is not a good movie in terms of narrative, characters, emotions, etc., but It’s a damn fun revenge film full of insane boobie trap kills and action gore. While at times things get a bit laughable, the over-the-top nature of the action and Rambo’s kills, even if just for 30 minutes out of a total of 90, manages to make the experience worthwhile and fist pump worthy.

If you’re a dad, or a guardian of a young girl, the rage felt by Rambo will resonate with you, so while what you’re watching take place on screen is pure murder fantasy and laughable at times due to how horribly bad guys die, I did understand John’s reactions to a tragedy that befalls those who he loves.

Like I said, for most of the film you’re just waiting for Rambo to go full Rambo, because the other story bits are rough. The supporting cast is pretty bad, as is the first act and a half of the film, but once Rambo gets properly motivated, it’s hard not to enjoy the raw 70’s era grindhouse stye violence that ensues.

Last Blood may not be the ideal end for this legendary action character, but its final 30 minutes do it enough justice to warrant a screening in my opinion. If anything, just to see what Home Alone would’ve been like if it were Rated-R.

Last Blood gets a 7 out of 10 review score from Team EB, and while it may be a bit silly, it still provides for some eye popping moments that make you remember why you fell in love with the character and franchise in the first place.
