Ramesh Damani Says "I Miss Post-Budget Meetings With Rakesh Jhunjhunwala The Most" | ET Now
5Market Veteran Ramesh Damani has known Ace Investor and the 'Big Bull' of Indian Markets, Rakesh Jhunjhunwala for over three decades. Not only as an investor extraordinaire but also as a close friend.
In an exclusive conversation with ET NOW's Managing Editor, Nikunj Dalmia, Damani mourns the loss of his dear friend and remembers his outstanding achievements. Speaking about their post-Union Budget meetings, Damani said, " I miss our rendezvous. The most sought-after opinion on the Budget was his. Bullish on India, he rarely got any predictions wrong".
Reminiscing about their good old days, Ramesh Damani asserted that the investing lessons learned from Rakesh Jhunjhunwala still resonate with him deeply and that he misses him not only 'as a friend, but also an investment Guru and strategist.'
Commenting about the 'Big Bull's wealth creation formula, Damani said, "Nobody has compounded at a bigger rate than him. He started with Rs 5,000 in the Indian markets and ended with $5 bn or maybe much more!"
Slightly tearing up, Damani professed that Jhunjhunwala will be missed, but his legacy will continue. He also lauded the Indian govt for awarding the ace-investor with a Padma Shri (Posthumous)

Last year in August, the Veteran stock market investor Rakesh Jhunjhunwala passed away in Mumbai. He was 62 and breathed his last at the Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. Condoling his death, Damani at the time stated that the highest tribute one can give to RJ is not 'grief' but 'gratitude' as he has taught several courage and conviction.
