An artillery game for DOS before its time, Tank Wars is a variant of the Tektronix game from the 70s, but is more of a clone of Artillery Simulator or Artillery Duel. Its presence on PC compatibles as early as 86 as part of the Freeware DOS scene clearly influenced the likes of Scorched Earth and Worms. Does it hold up? Well, not really. Lawnie is killed repeatedly for his sins.
