Random Gameplays - Scythe [Doom II], Map26 (Fear)
A random gameplay of Scythe on the Ultra-Violence difficulty. Played through ZDoom and Doomsday Engine source ports for the PC. This is Map 26 (Fear), with 100% kills, items and secrets.
I was unable to record my voice on this week since I'm sick, so that's why I did this video.
Scythe is a 32-level megawad released by Erik Alm in April of 2003. The most distinguishing feature of Scythe is that its levels are smaller than average. Also, it was created in a matter of a few months, 31 levels by Alm, and Map 32 by Kim "Torn" Bach. You must have Doom II:Hell On Earth to play this PWAD. The first two parts are fairly easy to deal with, but the last part, set in Hell, is extremely difficult to play.
This level in particular, Map26 (Fear), is insane. Tons of monsters to kill, 666 monsters exactly (very hellish, isn't it?). But the map is actually fun to play. Point-blank BFG blasts all the way with no regret and a lot of monster infighting. Plus the soundtrack used is awesome.
I recorded both playing in ZDoom and Doomsday Engine, to show the differences of the gameplay pace. I hope you enjoy! =)
