As somebody that has worked at multiple retail jobs part-time, I have had to accept whatever opportunities there were just so I can make the money I needed to get through college and life. But it led me to think: why are part-time employees treated differently than full-time employees, and why are they in a much more difficult situation than regular employees are? This random thought will touch on a few reasons as to why I think part-time employees are treated differently, and why they are always left out of further opportunities to achieve more and get what they need to succeed.
