In BTD6, you can increase the range of your towers without giving it any upgrades as long as there are multiple blimps close enough to where their hit box detection increases in size.
We are testing this out with Striker Jones on Encrypted in a spot where he normally cannot hit bloons asides the BAD when they are on their own, but with multiple blimps on the screen close enough to one another, certain blimps's hit box detection increases in size, enabling a tower that should not be able to target that bloon damage it.
My question is...what causes this hit box increase/tower range increase to occur when multiple blimps are close enough to each other to increase their hit box detection range? @NinjaKiwiGames
