Ranger decides, after conquering two groups who ruled from thrones, that he also wants to rule, and not just wipe out mortals. Ruling over them would be far more useful and powerful. Ruling over the ashes doesn't seem as enjoyable as he thought it would be after visiting the Ashlands.

So he starts preparations to build a factory in Mourne and start settling some of his newly conquered territory.
