In this video, we’ll be exploring some rare hidden dialogue with Ashley and Kaidan on Eden Prime. This dialogue is unlocked by completing Javik’s recruitment mission after Priority: The Citadel II, and bringing the Virmire Survivor along as one of your squadmates during the quest.

Javik’s recruitment mission, Priority Eden Prime, is available right after you leave The Citadel for the first time. And most players will complete this mission very early in the game because Javik is awesome and it’s best to get him as soon as possible.

However, if you wait to recruit Javik until after Priority The Citadel II, then you can potentially bring either Ashley or Kaidan along as a squadmate to Eden Prime. It should go without saying that the Virmire Survivor also needs to survive the standoff with Shepard on The Citadel and get recruited to rejoin the Normandy after that mission is complete.

Bringing Ashley or Kaidan on this mission is particularly interesting because they are the only squadmates in Mass Effect 3 who were with Shepard on Eden Prime three years earlier. Their unique dialogue and comments tie in directly with their experiences in the first mission of Mass Effect 1.

I wouldn’t recommend waiting this long to complete Priority: Eden Prime in a normal playthrough. A few lines of unique dialogue are not worth missing out on Javik for nearly half the game. But hey that’s what this video is for.
