"Rare" meaning the "AV Out" version, not the "RF Switch" out version which gives you an ugly picture and a vertical line down the middle of the screen. Developed in-house at Nintendo of America as a prototype which never went into commercial production as the SNES began to enter its heyday. Believe it or not, this was actually produced in 1994. An incredibly late period in the NES's life cycle!
