Raspberry pi 4B 8gb 2023 - pi4 images in 2020 will not work after suggest instruction Episode 2
Raspberry pi firmware update
Four ways:
1ft way:
1. Burn new image using “Raspberry pi imager”, CHOOSE OS, select “Raspberry pi OS (32-bit)” (insert your microSD card into your PC) then select CHOOSE STORAGE
2. from the new image and go to terminal on top and type this commands
3. sudo apt-get update
4. sudo apt-get full-upgrade
5. sudo apt install rpi-eeprom
6. sudo rpi-eeprom-update
2nd way:
1. Used “Raspberry pi Imager” scroll down until you see “Misc Utility Image” select it
2. (insert your microSD card into your PC)
3. CHOOSE STORAGE
4. Once done put your microSD card into your Raspberry pi 4B and wait until it is finish (note: it will stay in green screen for awhile, once it is done it will go black screen)
3rd way: ???
Boot to Retropie EmulationStation
Go “options” select Retropie- settings
Select “Mange packages”
Select bootloader update
4th way:
Boot to Retropie EmulationStation
Go “options” select Raspi-Config
Select Advance option
Select “A7 boot loader version“
type sudo apt-get update followed by sudo apt-get upgrade and then restart
sudo rpi-eeprom-update -d -a instead

Note: need go to Retropie setup run script update and basic update. And expand the card size so update will work.
