Rastan is a side-scrolling action game developed by Taito and released for the Sega Master System in 1989. It is a port of their 1987 arcade game Rastan Saga. A Sega Game Gear version of the port named Rastan Saga (ラスタン・サーガ) was released exclusively in Japan in 1991. The game was followed by Rastan Saga II for the Sega Mega Drive. This version uses the Rastan Saga name even for its US release. The Master System and Game Gear ports of the game have different level layouts from the arcade version. Some of the bosses have been replaced as well.

GAME RECORDING INFO:

The game was scaled to 4k, without bi-linear filtering, and retaining the original aspect ratio (screen ratio, not the internal resolution). I also use a shader that simulates a CRT Monitor with a S-Video filter signal, and over it i created a a 3d image of a game room with a TV from the 80s, to create a nostalgic atmosphere.
