Ratchet and Clank 2 100% Walkthough Part 18 Planet Smolg 1440p RPCS3
Ratchet & Clank 2: Going Commando, known as Ratchet & Clank 2: Locked and Loaded in Australia and most PAL countries, is a 2003 3D platform video game developed by Insomniac Games and published by Sony Computer Entertainment for the PlayStation 2.
The Ratchet and Clank series is still one of my favorite franchises to this day
with the second installment being a massive upgrade in pretty much every area from the first game.
Gameplay is massively improved with a greater variety of weapons and enemies with a good difficulty curve throughout the game. There are also many quality of life features that improve the gameplay like the quick select menu pausing the game and the ability to strafe in combat to allow more control of where you are aiming. The movement mechanics still feel fantastic and I would recommend watching a speed run of the game to see how they can be used fully. The ability to upgrade weapons was also introduced in this game and allows you to focus on your preferred weapons and rewards you for using them
Similarly to the first game the soundtrack is a stand out feature with different tracks that match the planets and environments that you explore, and fit in with the action well. It also sounds very unique in comparison to a lot of game soundtracks today.
The story is fairly fun and lighthearted with the series really finding its sense of humor with the second game, with the cut scenes offering many a laugh especially when I first played the game when I was younger when it released.
For this walkthrough I will be collecting all the Platinum Bolts and skill points that I remember the locations for and will hopefully 100% complete the game.
I am playing this game using the RPCS3 emulator to play the HD collection in 4K and recording in1440p. It runs very smoothly with the emulator and can be played at high resolutions with great performance. Any bugs I have experienced like Ratchets helmet being too big and some visual clipping are from the HD collection and are not down to the emulator.
I am using the recommended settings found on the RPCS3 Wiki found here:

I hope you all enjoy this series and thank you for watching
