Are your 3D prints starting to look like S**t?
It's called under extrusion and almost always is a problem with the hot end. Worn out nozzle, gaps between the nozzle and the tubing cause drag on the filament? Extruder teeth fouled up? Tubing moving in and out at the hot end or extruder (tube clamps bad)? etc.
Stop chasing it in the slicer and fix the hardware. Your 3D printer in fact does require maintenance from time to time!
This video shows under extrusion issues. It almost always shows up after the seam or edges in the print. My printer was doing great then ALL OF A SUDDEN, under extrusion! I replace the nozzle and the Boden tube inside the hot end, and it's printing great again.
