Over the past few months, some timesavers have been found in Rayman 2. The biggest finding is that low-resolution mode reduces lag, saving quite a bit of time over the course of the game. To get a rough idea of how much time the new discoveries save, I did a few any% runs. The result is this run, which is 5:43 faster than my old 2:17:25 run. I decided to upload it to show some of the new tricks in action. Because I only made a few attempts and I didn't remember all the any% strategies, this run isn't nearly as clean as my old run. I recommend watching that run if you want to see something more polished:

I don't really want to spend a bunch of time working on another any% run of Rayman 2 (having already done so in 2007 and 2008), so I doubt I'll improve this run. Instead, I'm working on a 100% run. Some of my strategies can be seen in this run.

EDIT: One particular aspect of this run I should mention is that I pretty much made up the lum route as I went by removing some slow lums from my old route and adding some faster ones. My choices were probably not at all optimal, so don't read too much into them.
