A port of my port for SteamVR home.
This version has been optimized for Half-Life: Alyx's gameplay to the best of my ability.
Translating 3D platformer gameplay into a VR shooter with no jump button was quite a challenge,
and while the result is far from perfect i feel i have managed to do a pretty good job.
This is an exploration map and features no enemies.
Navigation:
Smooth locomotion users will need to use the "teleport jump" feature to navigate the terrain efficiently.
Most small ledges can be climbed like ladders.
Purple lums also work like ladders.
Red lums work like teleporters.
All fall damage has been disabled
Features:
A faithful as possible port of the intro level from Rayman 2: The Great Escape.
Minor level redesigns to make it more compatible with Half-Life: Alyx's gameplay.
Grabbable Purple lums to help you navigate the level.
Red lums functions as teleporters.
Sounds and Music from Rayman 2.
Ingame text will teach you how play the level.
Bugs:
Mushrooms and other particles have transparency issues with water.
Lighting is NOT baked. This is intentional, as the baked lighting looked horrible,
Source 2's light system works great in realistic environments, however
with Rayman 2 having a cartoony look it ended up looking murky and overly dark green.
Some particle systems will appear overly birght at times.
