RAYXANBER III (PC ENGINE, CD ROM - FULL GAME)
8Zeus presents Rayxanber III on the PC Engine, a true classic from the golden era of PC Engine gaming which must not be forgotten alongside the programmers that were involved in making this game.
Year of release: 1992
Third and final game of the Rayxanber series.
This is not as good as It's prequel in my opinion, for starters It's unusual to have a large boss ship to fight for It's first level whereas R-Type has it set for level 3, it still retains It's awful firing sound fx, also the last level looks and feels unfinished as there's no background,...not even a star field and there's no sound fx, and to top it off the whole scene moves around as if it was still in It's development phase, it just feels unfinished maybe the result of getting to close to the deadline release date so they had to release it as it is seen here.
All in all still a tough challenge and I'm sure shmup fans will enjoy it.
