Razer is well know for its gaming accessories for the hardcore PC gamer. But its latest foray into console gaming has come with mixed flare with its initial intro of the Razr Onza. A controller which we reviewed here last here that gave very solid overall performance, but suffered from manufacturing set backs that didn't help to bolster the performances greatness the controller could deliver. Razer is geared to set things straight this time with the new Razer Sabertooth tournament ready controller for the Xbox 360.

The Razer Sabertooth is no ordinary controller, it features six additional multi-function buttons -- two at the shoulders and two removable rocking switches at the bottom of the controller -- allow you to react to any situation or enemy instantaneously by putting more power right at your fingertips. The Razer Sabertooh now comes with a new wedge design, and also raised the 4 mechanical Hyperesponse ABXY buttons for better actuation. The D-Pad was also optimized and improved to cater to more genres of games, allowing for distinct individual presses and as well as fluid combination moves. ( Works particularly well with fighting games, much easier to do those Hado-kens)

The Razer Sabertooth lets you reconfigure your choice of buttons elsewhere on the controller to any of the six multi-function buttons. With an integrated OLED screen on the Razer Sabertooth, you get ease of customizability over the controller's multitude of features. From programming the multi-function buttons, to adjusting the analog stick's sensitivity, and creating profiles, you can set the controller just the way you want it. . Also featured is a fully detachable, lightweight braided 15ft cable that securely screws onto the controller, and an included carrying case to take it everywhere you go without worrying about cable breakage. You are also provided with analog stick cap covers to protect the integrity of your sticks as well and and adjustment tool to remove the button rocker switches if needed.

So how well does the controller feel and function? To Razer's testament, they have done a fantastic job in creating a controller that feels comfortable and easy to use. The Multifunction buttons don't feel like and interference but rather make you hands come alive with the added functionality. To be honesty it felt like I could really use all my fingers to play my favorite shooter. I really like the controller and it has now become my default Xbox 360 controller as well as PC too, Since you can use it for PC games. I can attest to the durability of the controller as it pertains to the Onza, but I have a feeling the Sabertooth will fare much better. But I shall give you all a report in 3 months on the controller. Till then I say the Razer Sbaertooth is a definite buy and a worth controller for any gamer.
