In other words, running it through DOSbox produces some form of clue as to what's happening, before politely allowing you to simply continue as though nothing had happened.
After the initial 'crash', it's possible to activate the Doortrak a second time, which attempts to close the door sector (it re-opens immediately as I'm in the way). After this, it simply acts as a standard one-sided linedef.
