A lot of you are familiar with parts of my story.
This chapter was one of serious uncertainty, fear, and trust.

COVID broke out and I was stuck in this country.
I was still in the depths of self-hate, anxiety, depression, and addiction.

I wanted to create amidst the pain but there were no sets and nowhere to work and be creative.
At this point, I had also decided to become completely financially independent and I had barely any savings to rely on.
This is where the trust kicked in.
I took a huge chunk of my savings out and invested in a microphone.
I struggled to see myself in the mirror because of my body dysmorphia struggles and the inherent self-hate that I hadn’t worked through yet.

So, I create these re-voice projects.
Where I stripped the audio away from my favorite scenes and re-voiced them with a few key changes, a lot of acting homework, and a bunch of self-taught sound design and editing.

I cannot tell you how much joy this brought me in a time when I felt so unworthy and alone.
It truly speaks to the way performance has saved and changed my life and given me more hope than I could have ever dreamt of.
This is not just a reel.
This is a tribute.
It’s a tribute to some of my favorite pieces of media art and the way, they made a young man who wanted nothing more than to end his life on multiple occasions want to keep fighting and keep hoping through the season of pain and sorrow that I know my God is leading me through.
It is a step towards being the man I wish I had beside me on my darkest days and reaching out to other little boys halfway across the world who want nothing more than to not see the next sunrise.

This is for you. This is for me. This is for us.
