RE4 Remake - Perfect Parry Every Attack in the Game on Professional (Read Description)
76Important:
- There are a lot of attacks which can't be parried. Most grabs needs to be either crouched under, interrupted with your attacks, or side dodged. There are heavy attacks which can't be parried but can be QTE dodged, common examples include the bull head hammer spinning swings, scythe ganado horizontal swings, spiky club ganado hozirontal swing, garrador double stab, etc. Then there are attacks which cannot be parried or QTE dodged such as most boss atacks, most mini-boss attacks, and some common enemy attacks such as the Regenarator's overhead double hand slam.
- Some parried attacks will not hard-stun the enemy and will slighlty stun you. The shovel ganado horizontal swing, the morning star/flail ganado attacks, the electric rod ganado attacks, bladed Plagas, to name a few. I have proof that every attack has been perfect parried if you look at the bottom left of the pause screen after each parry: this is Professional mode, which only allows perfect parries.
High Priority/Important Parries:
- Every Ganado attack except the ones that won't be hard-stunned and unarmed ones.
- Armor Plagas, they can be tricky to parry but the reward justifies the risk since you'll be able to QTE kick them to reveal the Plagas.
- Garrador, practice your Garrador parries because they expose their weak spot when you perfect parry them.
- Novistador, their charge swipe attack is not only easy to parry because of its long wind up but it stuns them for a free kill.
- Mutated Krauser, his attacks are slow enough to parry and you get free kicks + shotgun blasts as he recovers from the kicks.
Don't Even Try It:
- Every Iron Maiden attack except the single arm swipe. You have to predict the spike attack, it's unreactable otherwise. The final explosion was literally a 1% success rate for me. The mini-boss Iron Maiden projectile spikes have a weird ass hit-box.
- Human and dog Plagas, just kill them as soon as you see them. Not only are their attacks hard to parry but you get 0 reward for perfect parries.
- Dynamite, they have to throw it straight at you and you're better off running away so that it kills ganados arround you.
- Regenerator, it has a grab attack and an overhead attack which can't be parried. His back swipe attack is hard to parry depending on your position. Slicing his arms will barely even stun it. Just kill it with the bioscope or run away.
