On Pro mode, all it takes is 10 acid shells, 1-2 handgun bullets, and 3 grenades to take U8 down in style. On the lower difficulties it will take even less ammo (duh =P). Get used to the R-stick turns at the beginning of the battle and after the grenades and you should have no problem with this.

The only variables in this battle are:

a.) After the first 2 acid rounds be will either do a dodge prompt attack or he will go under the platform, then charge at you. With this strategy you're safe in either situation because in the first situation you have the handgun aimed perfectly, and for the second you have plenty of time to aim at ANYWHERE on its body and shoot (it doesn't matter where it hits).

b.) After the first grenade, you will sometimes have to shoot a handgun shot following the 4 acid rounds. Just do like in the beginning (I accidentally miss the first shot, but that rarely happens; fire again to be safe if you like).

c.) After the second grenade, you only get 1 shot before the dodge. After the dodge you can always get one shot off, and sometimes another (like I did in the video). If U8 decides to pull up and spawn the drones, the second shot will miss. That's okay because you have 2 to spare. Just move to the left a bit, wait until U8 drops back down, then anticipate where the weak spot will be (not too hard with practice) and shoot it once. After that, an acid shell to anywhere on the body will stun him and allow you to finish the battle. =D
